Brownstone is 50% joint venture owner with X-Terra Resources (XT:TSXV) (505) of over 300,000 ha of Quebec Shale Licenses in the St. Laurent Lowland area of Quebec (namely the Shawinigan, Rimouski and Rimouski North), with a completed survey over a significant portion of those lands.
A 5,543 km airborne magnetic survey on the Rimouski, Rimouski North and Shawinigan projects in the St-Laurent Lowlands was recently completed and undergoing compilation (see press release dated February 24, 2010).
The exploration ground is in close proximity to Junex Resources and Intragaz Exploration near Shawinigan City and Squatex Resources in Rimouski, the heart of the Quebec Utica-Barnett-like shale gas play.
The joint venture partners are presently evaluating different work programs and closely watching developments in the evolving shale play.
