Israel New Discoveries and Current Activities

Tamar (January 2009)
The Tamar natural gas discovery is the largest discovery in the history of Israel.  Drilled in a highly under-explored area of the Mediterranean Sea, the well encountered more than 460 feet of net pay in three high-quality reservoirs.  A successful appraisal well increased the gross mean resources of the structure to over 7 trillion cubic feet of natural gas.  Initial expectations target first production from Tamar in 2012.  Tamar is situated approximately 90km north-west of Gabriella and 80km north-west of Yitzhak.

Dalit (Malit 2009)
The second recent natural gas discovery in offshore Israel identified more than 110 feet of net pay.  With the successes at Tamar and Dalit, a potentially substantial new resource basin with large remaining exploration potential opened up.  Additional 3D in the area in the second half of 2009 with potential for additional drilling in late 2010.  Dalit is situated approximately 55km north-west of Gabriella and 45km north-west of Yitzhak.
